The Hector Children’s Academies is the only program for particularly gifted and highly talented elementary school children in Germany that is continuously monitored scientifically. Researchers at the Hector Research Institute of Education Sciences and Psychology at the University of Tübingen and the Leibniz Institute for Educational Research and Information (DIPF) in Frankfurt focus on questions such as: Under what conditions does the support program have a particularly positive effect on the children? They also design and evaluate courses, that specifically address the needs of particularly gifted and highly talented children – the so-called Hector Core Courses – as well as qualification offers for course leaders. The scientific findings are continuously incorporated into the further development of the program.
